| Annie Hamlin Parke (b. 1858)
Born in Honolulu, she developed her artistic talents with four years of study at the Boston School of Fine Arts, followed by several years of work in Paris. Returning to her home, she first taught art at Punahou School, which she had attended as a child. She later was one of the founders of Hawaii's first art society, the Kilohana Art League.
