| John Einar Fabian Soderwall (1869 - 1954)
Soderwall, born in Vasby, Skane, studied at the University of Lund, taking his Ph.D. examination in 1901. He immigrated to Urbana where he continued his studies at the University of Illinois, then became a librarian at Northwestern University in Evanston. His seascapes were shown in Swedish-American art exhibitions in Chicago. He returned to Sweden, settling in Halsingborg in 1935.
