Thomas Albert Stone OSA (1894 -1978)*
Thomas Albert Stone (AKA: Tom Stone) was a painter and printmaker, who was born in Fownhope, Herefordshire, England. He emigrated to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1914 and subsequently lived in Vancouver, B.C.; Alton, Ontario (1921); and Cataract, Ontario (about 50 miles north of Toronto), where he died.
His mediums were oil and lithography. His subjects were genre, landscape and figures in landscape (many snow scenes).&n (showing 500 of 2476 characters). |
