| Robert Sagerman's richly textural paintings focus on the sensuality of color and surface "as a paradoxical indication to the paintings' true identity as a metaphor for the underlying immaterial dimension to perceived reality."
In addition to holding an MFA in Painting and an MA in Art History form Pratt Institute, Sagerman also has an MA in Religious Studies and a PhD in Hebrew and Judaic Studies from New York University.
