| The following information was submitted by the artist, October 2011:
Michael Reulman was born in Redwood City, California in 1956. He worked as Miner in Colorado and moved to New York City in his early twenties where he did theater and painting. He moved back to California in 1985 and was part of the Downtown Los Angeles art scene.
He now lives in the desert area near Palm Springs.
Reulman is a self-taught painter and has been influenced by Jon Serl and Sam Messer.
He mainly paints figures in a neo-expressionist manner. |
