Artist Statement:
My vision as an artist lies in my love of life. Art should reflect the beliefs and characteristics of the artist, therefore I intend for my art to represent my spirit fully and honestly. As my artistic career is just beginning, you can expect progression and revolution in my art to come. At this point in my life, however, I am most readily concerned with a high level of quality, be it abstract or picturesque. At the core of each piece I produce there will exist a promotion of individualism, a level of skill mixed with my personality. Each artist lives in the work he or she creates. Each work thus reveals something of the artist's unconscious being. Therefore my art shall reveal not only my conscious efforts and thoughts but my unconscious spirit as well. Though each piece will vary in style and depth, every work of art I present will be a tribute to existence; of love, of spirit, and most of all, of honesty. I do not seek to copy the art of others in order to gain fame or money, instead I seek to share my beliefs, my individual spirit, and my love of life, with anyone who is willing to hear my message.

As a high school student in Montana, my artist career is only just beginning. Growing up in the picturesque Bitterroot Valley, my artistic education has had strong ties to western art and landscape paintings, however in recent years I have pursued a higher level of artistic exploration. At present, my work encompasses a wide range of techniques with influences from artists such as Picasso to my high school art teacher Mike Mickelson. I aspire to achieve a career in art and I plan on majoring in fine arts at the University of Montana. On a local level, I have displayed art in high school shows, submitted art for scholarship applications, and sold some works to acquaintances. I hope you enjoy the variety of works I present and there will be more to come!
