Artist Statement:
"My paintings chronicle the infinite forms of LIFE in an unlimited universe, from the birth of a star, to the sunrises and sunsets visible to the human eye, yet elusive to the human hand, to the more tangible aspects of life on earth such as fire and water.  As we realize the interconnectedness between all things, we realize that a cloud of dust and gases called a nebula is necessary in the formation of not only stars, but of human beings.  That the oxygen we breathe and the iron in our bloodstream was formed in the hearts of giant stars. The hydrogen and oxygen in water and fire and the elements that comprise what we call the phenomena of the physical world, NATURE, is nothing more than a transmutation of the energy of the universe.

It is to this end I search for the expression of light and shadow, for the infinite and inexhaustible combinations of a visually aesthetic language that transcends and unifies worlds.  Specifically, I explore free organic forms through the layering and sensual deployment of color by bringing attention to the rich, spectral underpinnings of the simplicity and richness of the earth and its universal counterparts."
