| Virgil Victor Apperson was born in Gilroy, California on November 8, 1863. Apperson was a house painter who painted fine art in his leisure. Most of his life was spent in Redding, CA. He painted a wide variety of subjects including landscapes, animals, still lifes, and interiors. He died in Chico, CA on February 12, 1945.
