This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Edna B. Parker (1876-1969) was born October 30, 1876, likely near Georgetown, Delaware.  In 1901 Edna married painter John E. Parker (b. about 1876), also from Georgetown, Delaware.  The couple likely began their life together in Delaware where Edna began painting landscapes of the flat coastal Delaware terrain.

By 1910, John and Edna were living in Philadelphia at 3413 Hamilton Street, where they would reside for more than twenty years.  The couple never had any children.

Little is known of Edna’s training and career as an artist.  John was associated with the Salmagundi Club* of Greenwich Village, New York City: one of the oldest art organizations in the United States.  He served as the Art Editor of the Ladies’ Home Journal and later as an art advisor with advertising agent Charles Gilbert Hall.

Edna’s maiden name may have been Smith; she died in Pennsylvania in October 1969.
