Biography from Pritzker Military Library:
David Schweitzer was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 12, 1958.

Education: Bachelors degree in Fine Art from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, 1980. Experience:

Worked as Commerical Illustrator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Chicago, Illinois, and Waterloo, Iowa, from 1980-1986.

Freelance Artist from 1986 to present.

Specialty: Airbrush Illustration, Computer Illustration and Aviation Art.

Awards: EAA Aviation Foundation Art Competition, 1991, 3rd Place Excellence, 1993 Par Excellence, 1996.

Member Midwest Air Force Art Program

Submitted by Teri Embrey, Chief Librarian of Pritzker Military Library, which hosted work by this artist and others in an exhibit "Don't Be A Dope!: Training Comics in World War II and the Korean War", February to August, 2012.  After traveling to Washington DC as part of the exhibit, work by this artist and the others will become part of the U.S. Air Force Art Program's holdings.
