The work of Japanese born, Boston based Kenji Nakayama features photo-realistic, hand-cut stencil, spray enamel, acrylic and mixed media paintings.
Nakayama is a mechanical engineer by formal education. He made a significant and resolute life change in 2004 when he moved from his home in Hokkaido, Japan and brought his cultural heritage to the United States. His artwork incorporates Japanese and American influences within traditional sign painting techniques.
