The following information, submitted August 2012, is from the artist:
I grew up in Ravensthorpe, which is an outlying district of Dewsbury, an area surrounded by textile mills---a job circumstance that I thought was intended to set my path in life. But an accident when working in the maintenance department of a local mill prevented it. I was left unconscious by fumes while painting on a water tank. We did not have all the safety gear there is now, and this event resulted (showing 500 of 2254 characters). |
