| Eldon L. Kaeding was born in North Dakota on November 16, 1922. Kaeding grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During WWII he served as a B-29 bomber pilot in the Army Air Corps. Upon discharge, he studied at Chouinard and Jepson art institutes in Los Angeles. He later was an in-house illustrator for Lockheed Martin and a long-time resident of Sunnyvale, CA. He died there on June 16, 2006.
