Biography from Kamp Gallery, Inc.:
| Please note: Artists not classified as American in our database may have limited biographical data
compared to the extensive information about American artists.
John White was an esteemed member of the Royal Institute and exhibited there on a regular basis. His favorite subject was the simple town life of the English country- side, especially the medieval towns and cottages of Devon and Surrey.
There he rendered the timeless vistas and life of these places, which were already by the late 19th century, far behind the modern cities of London, Liverpool and Manchester. |
