| Born in London, England in 1864, Haddon studied in London at the Royal Academy and Slade School.
The winter of 1928 was spent in San Francisco where he had a studio at 1990 California Street. While there, his exhibition at the Paul Elder Gallery was his first in the U.S. Primarily a portraitist, he also painted scenes of the Orient, Spain, and Venice.
