| Frederick Jerome Greenough was born in California on Nov. 27, 1906. Greenough appears to have been a lifelong resident of Santa Barbara.
By 1930 he was a musician but by 1934 he was teaching art at Union High School in Carpinteria and continued there into the 1940s.
He died in Santa Barbara on June 10, 1982.
