| Known for his Abstract Expressionist pottery, Dorian Beaulieu taught ceramics at the Duluth Art Institute 1993-1996, the Duluth Federal Prison Camp 1984-1995 and was the sculpture instructor at the University of Wisconsin from 1991 to 1993. Besides in the United States, he has exhibited in China, Italy and Japan. Beaulieu has received awards from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, the 4th Annual Maddie Simons Advocate Award in 2002, Lake Superior College Student Support and from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art, Guangzhou, China, February/March 2006.
Museums: Shiwan Museum of International Art, Shiwan, China North Shore National Bank Duluth, Minnesota corporate and private collections. Beaulieu, in response to an invitations by the Chinese Government, demonstrated his ceramic processes at the World Ceramics Conference held in Foshan, China 2006, October 2002 and the Shiwan Traditional Wood Fire Workshop in Shiwan, China, October 2003.
He holds a bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth and Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin Superior.
As of 2012, he is working on a masters degree in art history at the University of Wisconsin Superior.
