David Mogano (1932 - 2002)
Phaswane David Mogano was born in Pietersburg, Limpopo Province, South Africa, in 1932. He received his schooling at the Mogano Primary and High Schools. During 1959 he had some informal art training at the Polly Street Art Centre under Cecil Skotnes and Sydney Kumalo
Mogano lived in Johannesburg for many years. It was life in the townships and city that appealed most strongly to his imagination and for which he was renowned. Soci (showing 500 of 2063 characters). |
