Mollyne Karnofsky (b. July 19, 1932- d.May 20, 2011)

An international mixed media artist,  Karnofsky received an MAT with a major in painting from Tulane University.

Her one person exhibitions include PS1 Contemporary Art Center (an affiliate of the Museum of Modern Art), Bronx Museum Satellite Gallery in Bronx, NY, Galeri X in Istanbul, Turkey, Galerie Leger in Malmo, Sweden, The Contemporary Art Center in New Orleans, LA., and New York University Leonard Stern Building, New York, NY.

Archives documenting Ms. Karnofsky’s art work are: Mollyne Karnofsky Papers, New York University Collections in the Fales Library, New York, NY, the Archives of American Art, the Smithsonian Archives of American Art, Washington, DC.  

Collections include E Trade, Cigna, INA, Emily Harvey Foundation, Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop Collection at the Library of Congress in addition to private collectors.
