This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Henry Holden Lauzon (Canadian/American 1871-1945)

Henry Holden Lauzon was born on July 18, 1871 in Prince Edward County, Ontario but immigrated to Michigan with his parents and siblings in approximately 1900.  He was a student of Mathias Joseph Alten (American 1871-1938), a prominent painter in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who completed a portrait of Lauzon in 1902.  This portrait was exhibited at the Grand Rapids Art Gallery from October 4 through October 31, 1938 as part of the “Mathias Alten Memorial Exhibition.”

Lauzon and his younger brother, Calvin A. Lauzon, worked at Lauzon Brothers, a furniture upholstery business in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the C A Lauzon Furniture Company, a manufacturer of living room furniture and phonograph cabinets.

In addition, Lauzon was a landscape painter, art collector and exhibition promoter.  Henry Holden Lauzon died on January 30, 1945 and was buried in Kent County, Michigan.
