Robert Blum Woodward was the owner of the What Cheer House in San Francisco. In 1866 it became Woodward's Gardens, a popular amusement park at Mission and 14th. He painted landscapes until his death in San Francisco in August 1879. Exh: Mechanics' Inst. (SF), 1875, 1879.
