Biography from Marin-Price Galleries:
Kimberly Seibert is a sculptor and painter in the Maryland area, and member of the Washington Sculptors Group and Americans for the Arts. Her mediums include steel, iron, bronze, stoneware, glass, oil paint, and acrylics.

Seibert went to Ohio Wesleyan University aiming to earn a Pre-Medicine degree, and graduated as a fine artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, specializing in metal sculpture and painting.

She loves the process of sculpting - creating a form in wax, clay, or wood, creating a ceramic shell or sand mold of it, and casting it in bronze, iron, or glass. Alternatively, she enjoys the process of plasma-cutting steel and welding it into a sculpture. She is drawn to sculptures due to the tactile quality of a finished work, and how a three-dimensional work will look differently from any angle.

A common theme in her sculptures is birds, which have always attracted her. The grace and beauty of a bird, especially in flight, and the freedom of a bird in flying anywhere it desires, anytime, some flying thousands of miles a year. She also has a theme of figures in her works, which interest her not only due to the innate beauty and complexity of the contours and planes formed by the bones and flesh, but also the natural human interest in others.
