This biography from the Archives of AskART:
James Reynolds is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design where he majored in sculpture and later studied the art of metal smithing in San Miguel de Allende, a small town in central Mexico.

He has been creating large-scale repousse metal panels in copper and stainless steel for use in interior and exterior architectural spaces, as well artwork in tin-plated steel since 1991.

Drawing from his extensive European travel, a keen knowledge of art history, and a large reference library, James has the ability to create work in many genres to suit the clients taste and a designer's style. As all the work is done freehand without the use of molds or dies, a virtually limitless variety of images can be accomplished.

His work can be seen aboard The Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, and Voyager of the Seas. Work is also featured in the Loeb Memorial Boathouse in Central Park along with many restaurants and high end homes across the country and on Bermuda.

James has participated in numerous museum and gallery exhibitions; his artwork is included in the permanent collection of the Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art as well as in the Wheeler School's Public Sculpture Collection in RI.
