The following, submitted January 2005, is from Daniel R. Gordon, owner of work by the artist. Jenny Petria Collin was born in Sweden sometime in the late 1800s. A painter and sculptor, Collin was a pupil of Roscoe Mullins in London before moving to the Chicago area where records indicate that she exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1911. Sometime during World War I she moved to San Francisco, California where she exhibited with the San Francisco Art Association (SFAA) 1916-18. (showing 500 of 1384 characters). |
