Biography from Roger King Fine Art, A - G:
| John Mecray is a contemporary marine artist. He attended the Philadelphia School of Art and was a freelance illustrator before concentrating on marine painting.
He was active in the establishment of the Museum of Yachting and the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport, Rhode Island. He often works by commission, painting large racing yachts.
