| Born on March 6, 1871 in Rochester, NY. Ethel Boardman studied at ASL in NYC and in Paris under Jean Paul Laurens and Girardot after graduating from Vassar College. While studying in Paris, she wed artist Guy Rose in 1895. Maintaining a home and studio in Giverny, she lived in France until moving to Pasadena with her husband in 1914. Her fashion illustrations appeared in Vogue and other national magazines. Mrs. Rose exhibited locally and was active in Pasadena until her death on Dec. 25, 1 (showing 500 of 1027 characters). |
