Comments: Important Gun Metal deeply carved black pottery. Kiva Step Pattern. About the Signature: Margaret signed this pot in pencil rather than her more commonly seen signature pressed into the soft, pre fired clay. This happened from time to time simply because she forgot to sign the pot when she was finishing the pot, and then caught her omission after the firing. This pot was collected directly from her at the 1981 Santa Fe Indian Market and is guaranteed to be as represented. This is one of the finest examples we have seen. Spectacular finish and quality.
