Comments: Georges Dominique Zezzos was born in Venice but spent much of his career painting in France. This work is a double-sided painting; on the reverse of the scene of the valley of the River Adour at St. Sever in France is an impressionistic study. The village of St. Sever is home to a historic 12th century abbey, famous as one of the stops on the ancient pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.
