| Born in Kingston, MA in 1842. Brewster studied with Samuel Rouse at Lowell Institute in Boston. By 1879 she had moved to San Francisco where she further studied with Virgil Williams and Raymond Yelland at the School of Design. At the turn of the century she was a resident of NYC.
