Born in Buffalo, New York September 22, 1873, Adele Brooks was a painter, who specialized in miniatures on ivory, landscapes and scenes of Native Americans.
She was a teacher, craftsman, and writer and a pupil of Simon, Mademoiselle La Forge, Richard Miller, Henry Snell, and Hugh Breckenridge.
She studied at the New York School of Fine & Applied Arts, Pratt Institute, Art Institute of Chicago, University of Wisconsin, and the Academes de la Grand Chaumiereliere & Colo (showing 500 of 1161 characters). |
