| Adolphe G. Berson was born in San Francisco, CA on May 14, 1879 of French descent. Berson began his art studies locally at the Institute of Art. In 1904 he sailed for Paris for further study under Lefebvre and Robert-Fleury at Académie Julian. For the next 22 years he remained in Paris where his works were highly praised by the local press. An invitation to exhibit at the Carnegie Institute brought recognition in the U.S. Returning to San Francisco in 1926, he established (showing 500 of 1027 characters). |
