| | Born in Oakland, CA on Jan. 18, 1873. Bloom was a lifelong resident of his native city except during 1907-10 when he was in Stockton. As well as a portrait painter, he was also a professional musician. Bloom died of pneumonia on March 9, 1924. | Source:
