| A landscape, still life, and portrait painter as well as lithographer, Anne Bailhache was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and moved to San Francisco in the 1930s. In 1939 she founded the Montalvo Foundation in Saratoga which she served as Director until 1948. She was also Director of the Coronado Art Association in Southern California.
She died in San Diego on March 28, 1968.
