| | Born in Topeka, KS on July 29, 1906. After settling in Los Angeles in the 1920s, Bensinger studied at the Chouinard Art School, UCLA, and with Bessie Ella Hazen, Edouard Vysekal, Virginia Van Nordere, Louise Pinkney Sooey, Millard Sheets, and Alexander Archipenko. She was active there into the 1940s and then moved to Fresno, CA where she taught at Sanger High School for 25 years. She died in Fresno on Aug. 4, 1989. Exh: Calif.
