Ariane Beigneux (born 1918)
She was born of French parents in Connecticut in 1918. She received her art training at the National Academy of Design, studying with Gifford Beal, Sidney Dickinson and Ivan Olinsky and also with Jon Corbino at the Art Students League.
Beigneux is best known for her portraits of children which began with her first job at a commercial art studio in New York. One of her major assignments was a series of calendar paintings of child (showing 500 of 974 characters). |
