| | Painter, etcher. Born in Odessa, Russia on Feb. 22, 1892. Bray settled in San Francisco with his family in 1902. He studied art at the CSFA and taught at that school circa 1917. He assisted Lucien Labaudt in the frescoes at the Beach Chalet (San Francisco) where Labaudt painted a portrait of Bray into the mural. For 40 years he was a draftsman at Kaiser Shipyards while maintaining a residence at 1155 Divisadero Street. He died at a convalescent hospital in Fairfield, CA on June 28, 1972. His work includes scenes of the San Francisco Bay area, portraits, and landscapes. Exh: S FAA, 1923-31; Calif. Artists at Calif.
