| | Born in Minnesota on April 27, 1886. After settling in San Francisco in the early 1920s, Baken worked for Vickery, Atkins & Torry, a frame and art gallery. He later opened his own shop and worked as a decorator while active in the local art scene. He died in Sonoma, CA on Aug. 4, 1959. Member: SFAA; A.I.D (pres. 1939-42).
