| Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Bertha Baxter lived in New York City in the 1920s and in the 1950s lived in East Gloucester, Massachusetts. She studied at the New York School of Fine and Applied Arts and exhibited at the Pennsylvania School of the Fine Arts from 1920 to 1927, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Hoosier Salon. |
