| | Born in Canada on Jan. 25, 1877. Batiste moved to California in 1928 and in 1933 settled in San Diego. For the WPA Curriculum Project of the San Diego City Schools, during the Depression she made dioramas. Locally, she was a school teacher until retirement. A spinster, she died in San Diego on Aug. 8, 1963. Member: Los Sureños Art Center.
