| Born in San Francisco, CA on Dec. 24, 1893. Bleil studied at UC Berkeley and the CSFA. While living in his native city and San Mateo, he often painted in Monterey in summers. He taught in the public schools of San Francisco until his demise on Jan. 29, 1951. Exh: SFAA, 1918-24 (1st prize); Calif. Society of Etchers, 1925 (1st prize); Calif.
