| | Born in Patten, ME on Aug. 29, 1856. Benjamin taught mechanical engineering at Purdue University and various Maine and Massachusetts schools until the early 1920s after which he was a resident of Altadena, CA. A self-taught painter, he was active in the local art scene. He died in Lafayette, IN on Aug. 1, 1937. Member: AFA; Society of Independent Artists; Calif. WC Society. Exh: Calif.
