Biography from AskART:
| Chief Beaver, the "Six Nations Artist" traveled the Grand River from Caledonia to Brantford in the 1890s. He resided at Beaver's Corner near Ohsweken on the Six Nations Reserve. He performed on stage as "Uncle Beaver" in road shows across the United States and Canada.
Chief Beaver's paintings are in the collection of the Iroquois Indian Museum in New York.
