| An illustrator for Harper Brothers and caricaturist for magazines, Frank Bellew was born in India and came to New York City in 1850. In 1866, he wrote a book called "The Art of Amusing."
His son, Frank P.W. Bellew, was an illustrator for "Life" magazine.
