| An easel and mural painter and teacher, David Bachrach lived in Malden Massachusetts in the and was active on the East and West Coasts. He studied at the Boston School of Modern Art, and wa a member of the Boston Art Guild and the Society of Independent Artists.
Exhibition venues included the Society of Independent Artists and Mercury Gallery in New York City, San Francisco Museum of Fine Arts, and the Rockport Gallery in Massachusetts.

| The following information, submitted June 2010, is from Renny Pritikin:
"I interviewed his surviving adopted daughter, who told me he died in 1942 in a Merchant Marine accident. She holds some half dozen of his works, which she has promised to the Richard Nelson Gallery at University of California, Davis.
Bachrach was his public or art name, but his actual name was David Goldstein.
