| From a family of three generations of female artists, Dawn Barnes lives
in Towson, Maryland and creates floral paintings in Classical Realist
style. Barnes also does other still-life subjects including
surreal juxtapositions of objects and works with opera and Mardi Gras
themes.
She studied at the Maryland Institute of Art and the
Schuler School of Fine Art. Among her teachers are Bob Brown and
Richard Eichman, and in the 1990s, she painted with Matt Zoll.
