| Born in Chicago IL on June 7, 1895. Brown studied at the AIC, University of Illinois, Art Center School of Los Angeles, and San Diego State College. He moved to southern California in the 1920s and settled in South Pasadena where he specialized in portraits of Hollywood stars and illustrations for the movie industry. From 1936 he maintained a portrait studio in Coronado. During WWII he served as head of Concealment Research for the U.S. Navy. After his discharge, he returned to San Diego an (showing 500 of 1019 characters). |
