Biography from AskART:

Born in Cincinnati, OH on Nov. 10, 1819. Delia wed W. E. Brown in Cincinnati. By 1856 she had arrived in San Francisco where she painted landscapes and seascapes. In 1901 she was living in Rome, Italy. Exh: Calif. State Fair, 1856-71 (gold medals); Mechanics' Inst. (SF), 1857-64; SFAA, 1872.
