Born in Decorah, IA, Oct. 7, 1896 and died Manhattan, Kansas on October 28, 1984, Dorothy Barfoot was a painter, blockprinter, ceramist and teacher. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in 1922, a master’s from Columbia College, New York in 1928, and did graduate work at University of Arizona, the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, and the Herron School of Art.
She taught for a year each in Iowa and Minnesota public schools before being named head of the Drake U (showing 500 of 1546 characters). |
