| Born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 20, 1909, Kushner studied at Kansas City Art Institute and Teacher’s College (B.S, 1937), Columbia University (M.A., 1938), Art Institute of Chicago, and Art Students League in New York City. She was a member of the Kansas City Society of Artists in 1937.
She taught art in Kansas City public schools, Grover Cleveland High School in New York City (1940-46), and at Pasadena City College after 1969. She died in Brooklyn, New York on April 5, 2000.
Exhibited: Library of Congress, 1960; Boston Museum, 1965; Laguna Beach Art Ass’n, 1969 (award); Calif. State Fair, 1969; Pasadena Society of Artists, 1970 (award); California Watercolor Society, 1970-72 (awards); National Academy of Design, 1971.
