| Doug Ball
Douglass Ball grew up on a ranch in Colorado. He studied art the Colorado University, and was also encouraged by his grandmother at a young age to draw and paint. As a young man he became absorbed in the Vedic culture, and eventually became one of the founders of the Vedica Art Studio in Florence, Italy.
It was in Florence that he became inspired, and for the first time painted en plein air. Professional, Doug acquired the prestige position of becoming one of Disney's fulltime background painters, working on such films as "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty and the Beast", and "The Lion King".
Doug’s paintings excursions have taken him all over the world, including Tahiti, Africa, Europe, and The Caribbean.
Douglas Ball is an artist member of the California Art Club.
